Laura Nicole Roseman

A devotee and advocate of bold Intimacy with the self and in our connections with others... a mystic at heart.

She dreamed up Svatantrya after deep exploration in to the Tantric teachings that brought her home after a long search, after a major head injury and during a period of grief and loss, yet somehow that recipe did create a sort of magic. Svatantrya was in response to a need she recognized in all of us, to have a supportive space for self-
discovery and community, a place to foster internal liberation and the celebration of honest vulnerable connection.

She has spent the greater portion of her life uncovering the mystery of Truth from early childhood conversations with her imaginary friend, Ghost, to a moment of awakening at 15 to an adulthood where she delved in to traditional texts and modern understandings of existence and the self, hours of early morning Sadhana, studying with a variety of influential s
piritual teachers and friends, to going on pilgrimage and climbing inside during retreat. Her commitment began in Tibetan Buddhism, and followed a thread to Devi Kundalini which led her in to the belly of Tantra. She currently shares her own unique integration of her reflection, travels, practice and studies with others through the breath and the cultivation of our pranasystem, through the teachings of wisdom, the gamut of life experience, through crafting meals for her diverse temple family, sharing and listening within community and in the vast space of shavasana. You will often find her barefoot in the kitchen tossing  veggies around, tiptoeing in the gardens rows, or not find her at all, as sometimes she journeys to distant corners of the Earth for another dip below the surface. She will welcome you with open arms, feed you and send you to the Netherlands of shavasana when you choose to open the door.
